Austin's Watershed Protection Department runs a graded sequence of free water programs: Clean Creek Campus for grades 3-8, a multi-day Earth Camp for fifth graders at Title I schools, an on-campus Earth School presentation, and Watershed Detectives for middle and high school. A groundwater curriculum and runoff-model kits are also available for classroom use.

Our take
Earth Camp focuses on Title I fifth-grade classrooms and uses a multi-day, field-based format, and the department offers programs from elementary through high school. This program is run by Austin's Watershed Protection Department rather than Austin Water, the drinking-water utility, and it covers stormwater and stream health more than treated drinking water, so pair it with a treatment-focused resource for that topic.
