What you will find there

  • "Gray, Green, Blue: Water Security and YOU!", a four-part high school series on water security and green infrastructure
  • Lesson plans on how nature filters water, paired with teacher guides and videos
  • Virtual field trips to real sites such as the Seattle water supply and Arizona rivers
  • Age-banded curricula for elementary (ages 5-11), middle (11-14), and high school (14-18) learners

Our take

The virtual field trips offer an alternative when there is no budget for an in-person field trip, and the water-security series covers green infrastructure and nature-based solutions. Water-specific content is a small slice of a much larger environmental-education library, so it takes some digging to find.
