Our take

Real grant money, funded from a portion of the state's own air- and water-pollution penalties, is the kind of resource a directory of links alone cannot substitute for, and the fund's grant-writing workshops lower the barrier for a first-time applicant. It is a funding source rather than a ready-made lesson, so a school still needs to design its own project and write a competitive proposal to benefit.
