Southwest Florida Water Management District — Education

SWFWMD's education office funds Splash! School Grants for freshwater-education projects and backs them with free publications, hands-on activities, and water-education videos. Teachers can also join Project WET professional-development workshops, book virtual watershed excursions, or visit approved field-study sites on district lands.

Our take

The Splash! grants and free field-study sites on district lands give teachers project funding and field-trip venues in addition to classroom materials. Grants and approved field-study sites are limited to schools within the district's Southwest Florida service area, so it's a regional resource rather than a national one.
