HSF-IF.B.4 Interpret key features of function graphs

For a function that models a relationship between two quantities, interpret key features of graphs and tables in terms of the quantities, and sketch graphs showing key features given a verbal description of the relationship.

Why water teaches this standard well

Students interpret a graph of a reservoir's water level across a drought year, identifying intercepts, the interval where the level was decreasing fastest, and any relative minimum before recovery. Reading key features off a real hydrograph is exactly how water managers monitor drought conditions.

Materials tagged with this code are written to the full standard , and each carries a written note explaining the alignment. See how we review materials.
