D2.Geo.1.9-12 Geospatial technologies and spatial patterns

Use geospatial and related technologies to create maps to display and explain the spatial patterns of cultural and environmental characteristics.

Why water teaches this standard well

Free geospatial tools let students map their own watershed, model stormwater runoff from real land-use data, and display patterns such as aquifer decline or drought severity. Producing a GIS-based map of a water system meets this indicator with the same class of tools professionals use.

Materials tagged with this code are written to the full standard , and each carries a written note explaining the alignment. See how we review materials.
